Homo Faber Craft Biennale

During the month of September 2024, Homo Faber hosted the 3rd edition of their craft biennale titled, “The Journey of Life”. Neon Zinn was chosen from a world-wide search to represent the U.S. in the Dreams section, located in a former swimming pool of the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in Venice, Italy. Art Direction for the entire exhibition was expertly designed by film director Luca Guadagnino and Nicolò Rosmarini.

My contribution was entitled Ropemask. Constructed from one continuous length of hand-dyed rope it was displayed on a glass head alongside masks from across the globe. To complete the dreamlike scenario, the central pool contained floating hooded figures in hooded velvet dresses.
