What is your shipping policy?

Shipping is now free in the continental U.S. I ship using USPS or FedEx depending on the cheapest price. For international shipments please contact Seth Damm at neonzinnrope@gmail.com to discuss shipping options and rates.

Depending on the size of the order, I give myself 1-2 weeks to complete the order and ship. Larger order may take up to 3-4 weeks for completion and shipping.

What if I would like to carry Neon Zinn in my store?

As an independent small business I prefer wholesale orders, but I will consider working with a store on a consignment basis depending on the circumstances. Please contact Seth Damm at neonzinnrope@gmail.com to receive a product linesheet and to discuss options.

What type of dyes do you use?

I use iDye for Natural fabrics by Jacquard. It is a hot water dye with a salt mordant. My process for dyeing a necklaces involves cutting the specific lengths of rope and soaking them in clean water to open up the fibers. I have dye buckets where I keep my prepared dye, that way I use dye colors for multiple necklaces and reduce waste. Next the dyes are heated on a stovetop and once boiling I proceed to dip each length of prepared rope in the color/s I’ve chosen for the specific necklace. The rope is then rinsed in clean water until the water runs clear. This is my way of assuring that the dye will not stain a garment. I air dry the lengths of rope and prepare for the next step of the process which is the production of the design.

Can I request a specific color palette for my necklace?

I encourage any customer to contact me about color preferences. Part of the joy of a handmade item is that it is never an exact replica. Since I am dyeing each necklace from scratch and adding the details in yarn, there is room for customizing. If I can make you a necklace that is more specifically geared to your preferences, all you need to do is ask. I realize it adds another layer of effort but such is the way of slow fashion and handmade goods. That said, most customers trust my skills with color and tend to give general suggestions, sometimes about the colors they definitely don’t want.

Do you give refunds/returns?

Since all Neon Zinn necklaces are made to order, I will not accept refunds/returns unless the the customer is 100% unsatisfied with their purchase. In that case I need an explanation in writing and the piece needs to be sent back within a week of shipment.
